It's All Growing....

Wow, I am so pleased with my little gardens. I have never grown cantaloupe before and they are so pretty...just like in the grocery store! My little watermelons are coming along nicely as well. I have some silver queen corn growing although not as much as I would like. The square foot gardens ( 4 X 4 raised beds) are so easy to maintain with no weeding. Next year I hope to have a much bigger one for corn and a few more, and fence in the area as the deer have been visiting. I do not mind sharing but they pick tomatoes and leave them there and they are starting to nibble on my green bean foliage.
As always I have a helper when I am checking out the gardens. Sam just loves to get into everything. Oh, if you are wondering why the bricks around the corn, it is to hold them up, we get a lot of strong winds and it knocks them right over.

Life is Beauty Full

I do not have many words today, I think the tittle speaks for itself...Life is Beauty Full.

Meet Jake

Here is my buddy and house guest "Jake". Jake has been staying with us for about 2 weeks and will be staying another week or so. He is a good guest if you can get past the drooling and rolling all around on the carpets, the constant burping and occasional gas. He does smile lots and always wants to shake your hand. He listens very well and has not taken a bite out of the cats as of yet. Yes, cats ...we have two tabbys. Our gray tabby "Jack" likes to follow Jake around and noisy into his stuff, but he stays just far enough away but close enough to watch him. Sam our orange tabby just does not like dogs period, he scampers in and hides, if Jake looks at him he gives a good hiss and warning to stay away! Jake listens, like I said he does listen well. Jake is our very good friends dog and neighbor. He loves staying at our house, he gets a tad spoiled and lots of love.

This was such a fun bracelet to make! I think mainly because I do not make many things with fuchsia or pinks so it was like a little mood lifter so to speak.The fuchsia clay beads are from Aslan crafts , she makes awesome handmade polymer beads, the colors are so vibrant.
The focal point started from one half of an antique buckle, it has been hand stamped with "Talk Less....Say more" and oxidized to bring out the lettering. I hand forged a brass hook and a stamped brass washer are used for a clasp. A vintage filigree bead and a firepolished czech bead are added for a little bling. Measures: 7 3/4".
