Going once, going twice, SOLD
I love antique auctions and I try to go whenever I can. Yesterday I attended an auction put on by Music City Auctions and was held in downtown Nashville. It was surely calling me once I saw what what being offered. I love to buy country, primitives, white ironstone..etc. Although, I do not really have many primitives in my home I do like to buy them to sell in my Antiques booth in Franklin Kentucky.
There was at least 25 pieces of white wrought iron pieces...they were being saved for the Auction today. I was bummed because I knew I would not be attending both days. Unfortunately, I did not get any of the white ironstone either, the prices went too high. They sold for retail and there was no room to make anything.
This is what I did come home with and I was thrilled! A great vintage child's teaset, some antique children's books, two child's transferware mugs, teddy bears, a Victorian child's stroller and a toy icecream chair...I guess you can tell I love children's things.
The black basket stand, I will use for my shows, it will look awesome! Now to clean and price everything!
Great finds ... I love children's tea sets. Have a lovely week. TTFN ~ Marydon
ReplyDeleteOh I love auctions!! I haven't been to one in ages...but used to go pre-kids when we lived in Monterey. I didn't realize you had an antique booth! That is my dream on day...maybe when the kids are older. You found some great pieces! I've always been intrigued by those Victorian wicker baby strollers...they would make a nice display in your booth.

Great job! It looks like you made out with some great pieces. Will these all be for resale or will some be for your home? How's the Art Fire shop going?
ReplyDeleteWow, what a great score. Love the stroller!! And do I see a broom??... Also love the stoneware pickling pot - or what where they used for in USA?
