Yes, you can call me a coach potato and I will not be offended. That is where I have been parked for the last few days, that too is wearing me out, I bore easily and there is nothing good to watch on TV. Since I am writing this you can tell I made it through my surgery safe and sound. My big old thyroid was removed and now I have a big ole scar....much bigger than I expected. I really need to get some scarves because I fear I will scare people when I go out. It feels very weird I must say having this 5 inch incision across my neck.Even more interesting is that the incision is sutured underneath and then glued. Yes, I said glued! Apparently this will make a nicer line versus having sutures on top.
My first overnight experience in the hospital was much better than I anticipated. I was at
Centennial Medical Center in Nashville where I received the very best of care. I truly felt like I was their only patient, the nursing staff was just excellent. You read all about the nursing shortages and lack of patient care in hospitals across the country, it was not evident here at Centennial.
I am glad this is all behind me and it is over. Thanks for all off your nice comments and support.
