Prince of Peace and Some Royal Jewels

I have only caught glimpses of the royal wedding today, but what I saw was just beautiful! I hope this couple enjoys a lifetime of love and joy together.
So speaking of the royals...I have a necklace I made a few days ago that would be somewhat fitting for a day like today (unlike Princess Beatrice's hat...)

I created this with antique murano glass beads, copper beads, vintage copper link chain an old rhinestone earring and two antique copper jewelry findings. The pendant drop needed nothing more than itself, the detail and quality is amazing. I only had a few of these that I offered on my site but they are sold out for now, not sure If I will be getting anymore.

And now for the commoners....

I found the Prince of Peace medal at the Nashville Flea market, I just had to have it!
In this necklace I used a variety of Antique and vintage elements, keys, brass filigree beads and old trolley tokens. The vintage typewriter key is the perfect dangle.

I Heart Instagram!

I am in  LOVE with the smart phone App. called  Instagram. Since I have installed it on my I-phone all I want to do it take pictures!!...it really is sooooo cool. Snap a photo with your iPhone, choose a filter to transform the look and feel, send to Facebook, Twitter or Flickr – it’s all as easy as pie. It’s photo sharing, reinvented.

Here are some before and after pictures.

I stopped at this log cabin today, off the beaten path. They had it all set up inside like a gift shop.I asked the owner it I could take a picture of the house...I would not wanna get run off by a shotgun...I'm just saying...it could happen!

before....

after...how cool is that? You can also zoom in and out on the screen before saving your picture.

How do you like this handsome fellow?

he was just resting in the field...one leg up in the rear. He did not find me interesting in the least.
before and...
after...

Here are a few more photos I have taken in the last few days.

my step-dog Jake

So go have some fun, reinvent how you take pictures!!

Meet Bud

here he is lounging on my couch in my studio...

I would like you to meet Bud, Bud Berman. I carried him home yesterday and I think he is going to stay. I could not resist him at the antique shop, he has lots of hidden charisma! Somewhat of a plain dresser as in naked, but for what I want him for he will fit my needs perfectly, plus for $20 who could resist!! He appears to be made out of fiberglass and hangs nicely on the wall.

...finally something to photograph long necklaces on!

As some of you know I just love old dress forms and have been hunting for one for my studio and to use when I do shows. Although Bud is a he and not a she I think he will add something to my display booth. I plan on decoupaging his lovely form with either antique dictionary papers or muslin, I have not decided as of yet. What do you think? I think the muslin will display the jewelry better but the paper will look really vintage.

Suggestions please!

There is always Hope

Time sure does fly...it has been one hell of a year and it is only April! Last year we fell in love with this little guy. Born on April 15th.

Today Captain Morgan is a year old already! I think he is most definitely the silliest cat I have ever owned and I have had many cats. He loves to play, talk and tease the other cats.

... he does love his older brother Jack

You can tell by the next pictures what his favorite sleeping position is.

We look forward to spending many many more years with your little furry self!

Tomorrow is......

Saturday April 16th

New pieces from the jewelry drawer

I have lots of new creations to share with you...today from the jewelry drawer I have three pieces of jewelry created from findings from an old Jewelry Factory in Rhode Island.

I was sooooo very lucky to have come across this man at a flea market in Connecticut. He was selling tons of this stuff. I think I wet my pants when I saw all of the findings. Some of the stuff is in limited quantities and some I will be offering in my Judith B Designs Etsy shop. Have patience I will be listing it slowly. The quality is outstanding, better than excellent !  Really ornate with amazing detail and some with nice patina.

Here is just a few of the pieces I got.

Created from a vintage crucifix from the old jewelry factory along with cut Opaline glass beads.

Cuff Bracelet
The detail is so gorgeous on this antique brass piece.....nice heavy brass that I carefully formed to fit your wrist and added a vintage rhinestone earring.

Lastly for today are Pine Cone Drop Earrings. Wait until you see these adorable pine cone like bead caps! I just can't stop smiling when I look at these.

So that is it for today, you can find these pieces in my Etsy shop.
.Hope everyone is enjoying some nice weather like we are and thanks to you all for stopping by.
