Fun Dancing Earrings

Got to love these fun earrings! Copper and sterling the perfect marriage and they get along so great! I think sterling "dresses" up the copper and adds some nice bling to it. Lots of movement as the sterling likes to dance. Lightweight too!

Top 10 Monday....

Thanks Tim for featuring me in your TOP 10 MONDAY. Every Monday Timothy Adams of "Timothy Adams Designs" features 10 great items from Etsy. This week Tim featured my "Lucky" necklace. http://www.etsy.com/view_listing.php?listing_id=22249289.

You can check out his list and blog at http://timothyadamdesigns.blogspot.com/

Violet

"Violet" is such a beautiful Victorian name and this creation is named after her.

This necklace was designed around an antique Victorian brass buckle with a blue cabochon. Fancy colorful lampwork beads accent the blue cabochon nicely. Violet faceted glass beads are wire wrapped with filigree caps. Antique brass chain links are used as well as an old classic spring clasp for a closure. I love the way the antique buckle is made contemporary by pairing it with modern lampwork beads. Let me know what you think...

Old Cemetery

T
here is just something about an old cemetery that I find intriguing. I know it sounds morbid to some while others may agree with me. There are lots of small cemeteries here in Middle Tennessee where I live and some in peoples yards, I guess this was the family land and family members where buried on their land.
While my sister was visiting me we passed a cemetery that I always wanted to visit, being it was a nice sunny warm day I pulled in. Camera in hand I took some pictures and finally figured out what I find intriguing, It is the monuments and grave markers. Not just the information on them but the details and designs. Knowing that in the 1800's this was all done with a chisel and hammer and that the work done is true a craft.

Bye, Bye Sister...

Oh, it's so quiet now.... I dropped my sister off at the airport after a wonderful week long visit. Now I am feeling a little lonely....time to get back to work in my studio and create something cool. Finished these earrings today, something light and fun. Wild Horse and Burrow Adoption Center

Wild Horse and Burrow Adoption Center Tennessee

Today is my sister Susan's last day visiting me.,tomorrow I will drop her to the curb at the airport. We went to Cross Plains today about 10 minutes from my house and had lunch at Thomas's Drug store, an authentic vintage drug store with a lunch counter. After lunch we went to the "Wild Horse and Burrow Adoption Center" just down the road. I have visited this place many times, my last visit was when they had brought in 200 wild horses from Utah. It is so nice to see that almost all of them have been adopted. I just love horses, and anytime I can be around them I am so happy.

Angel Wings Necklace

I
just listed this necklace on Etsy, you can check it out at
www.etsy.com/view_listing.php?listing_id=22331799. While my sister is visiting I have been using her for my model, it makes her feel "important" and somewhat famous as she is being shown on the net. All though I have not told her it is just her neck I am showing. Shhhh...

Honky Tonk Night

Ok, I think I am way too old for this kind of life! Got home at 3am, we all had a great time, met some fun people and heard some good music. Where else but in Nashville can you hear live music all day everyday in any type of venue you want all within steps of each other. Fun!
