I found these awesome adjustable ring blanks some time ago on Etsy and just LOVE them! The quality is superb and I really like the matt antique silver finish. I have been using them to make typewriter key rings and purchased a few with a bezel to play with. Well, yesterday I figured out what I wanted to go in them can you guess?
Etched metal and resin! I love the simplicity of them. I wish I wore rings but I just can't stand anything on my fingers (my stunning diamond rests in velvet). Sorry about the glare on the resin, there are no dark spots.
Since I have been having fun with my etching I would love to offer to y'all one of my etched pendants.
"Admit One"
Measures 2" x 1 1/8" A ticket image has been etched on a purchased brass dog tag. I will also be including a very special surprise with the tag.
All I ask is this one little question:
If you could only make one piece of jewelry what would it be and who would you give it to?

I would make a necklace using amethyst beads for my Mom. Amethyst was her birthstone and her favorite. I will send it to her via the wings of an angel.
ReplyDeleteMy daughter's wedding ring.
ReplyDeleteShe's only 17 months and I don't have the skills yet to make something like that but maybe someday...

Great great rings Judy....etching and resin are looking really perfect together!
ReplyDeleteI would make a mostly sterling silver bracelet for my mom, that is what she likes most, but would add some small semi precious such as peridot, garnet, citrine, dainty things for her!
Love the rings especially the typewriter keys.
ReplyDeleteI would make something in sterling and pearls for my stepmom...she loves silver, pearls, and anything I make her.
BRILLIANT! I love the way the resin magnifies the beauty of your etched pieces.
ReplyDeleteThe rings are sweet! I am always looking for rings for my right hand. I will give these a gander...
As for your question... if I had to chuck it all tomorrow after only making one more piece of jewelry it would be a stunning necklace for my daughter to one day wear to her own wedding one day. Something that tied us both together with our unique personalities and my past and her future. Of course, she is only 9 so it would be awhile for her to wear it. But that would be the last piece that I would design if I had to give it up tomorrow. Good thing I don't have to.
Enjoy the day!
Erin
I love all your rings. I would make my grand-daughters button rings out of their great grandmothers and my buttons.

ReplyDeleteI just love the typewriter rings!
ReplyDeleteIf I could only make one piece of jewelry I'd make a piece for my oldest daughter to let her know how much I love her, and how proud I am at the lovely woman she has become. It would be something purple since that's her favorite color.

I would figure out a way to convert my grandfather's overall buckles into a piece of jewelry for each one of us grandchildren. He always wore overalls and I'm the lucky owner of the last few pairs he owned.
ReplyDeleteI would make a bright orange headband with a beautiful bow made of satin resting on top. (: I would then sew on the words "You are loved, forever and always" on the inside on the headband and give it to my bestest pal. (:
ReplyDeleteBright orange because it will remind her to be cheerful, and the words are there to remind her that she will be loved and cherished. (:

Judy your pendant "Admit One" is fabulous.
ReplyDeleteI would make one simple angel wing necklace with opals and give them to my loving departed grandma who never got to see my jewelry making success. She would be so very proud as she taught me so very much of how to be creative and see things differently. Happy Holly Jolly...
