Leiper's Fork

It has been a busy week and I just realized that I have not blogged since Tuesday. Where has all the time gone? It has been a week of appointments...car repairs, a dental visit, work at the antique shop and some jewelry making squeezed in. Yesterday the DH and I took a ride to Leiper's Fork. We have lived in Tennessee for 5 years and this was our first visit. It is not terribly far, over an hour at most and so well worth the country ride. Rolling hills, and tons of horse farms along with beautiful estates. Leiper's Fork is the home of Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban, as well as the Judd's, Faith Hill and Tim McGraw. The town in so charming and reminds me of one of our favorite towns in Vermont.

We passed this sign yesterday and laughed so hard...
Learn to play Polo...no riding experience necessary! For real? Seriously??

I hope everyone has had a great weekend. It seems the temperatures are starting to cool a bit. It is funny when 89 feels cool.

ArtFusion

I am taking it easy today after exhibiting at a two day Art show.  It actually involved three days as one day is set-up only. My set-up takes forever....hours and hours actually. The show is about an hour from our home so we put quite a few miles on the car going back and forth, dodging Cicadas as we went. (they are everywhere!!!) It was like bullets hitting the car!

Artfusion was at The Factory in Franklin Tennessee a really cool place to eat and shop. I have to praise the promoters of this show as they know how to treat their artists. Since the show was on Friday from 1-9pm, lunch and dinner was provided for us as well as breakfast the following morning. A vendor room was available all day with cold drinks, fruit and snacks. Booth relief was provided if anyone need it. Live entertainment was enjoyed all day as well as a wine reception on Friday night. Tell me the last time you ever did a show where you enjoyed wine and sushi? It was delightful I must say! Since I sent out a newsletter prior to doing the show many of my customers came and purchased from me, it was great! My darling hubby stayed with me and we enjoyed such a great weekend and had some great sales, I could not ask for anything better!

We  met some great folks and learned about some other shows, I love this part of doing a show!

I hope everyone has had a super weekend!

A Day of Rest

.....or so I would like to think!
I just finished a two day Art Show in Franklin Tenn. called "Art Fusion". It was a wonderful show in a great venue, a refurbished factory with small art studios and lovely shops and restaurants.
Unfortunately I forgot my camera, but I used my Iphone, not the best pictures but they will do.

I have to thank Sharon of Livewire Jewerly for her great idea of the "padded suitcase". She had made one a while back and posted it on her blog. I just loved it and knew it would work great for me so I made one too.

Thursday started out rough as I started to get sick and I knew there was no way I was going to miss this much anticipated show, so off the the Doctor's I went. Four prescriptions and a shot of steroids I was on my way. Needless to say being on the steroids I have not slept in 3 nights! With all that being said I managed the days just fine....highly wired but fine.

I would like to say I will have a day of rest...but there is a bead show I NEED to go to...AD Adornments will be set up and I really want to pick up some of her lovlies. So hubby and I will go into Nashville and then off to lunch.

I hope you all are enjoying your weekend and come back tomorrow as I am going to have a super giveaway! Yay, I can't wait!
