Leave a comment telling me what inspires you. What makes you move mountains, what makes you stay up until the wee hours working, what pulls you into that cyclone of creativity....or what calls you from that warm bed in the morning.

A random name will be drawn on Monday Jan.11th for the Artbeads $25 gift certificate and another name will be drawn to win a goodie bag of beads from me. Good luck everyone!

  4. Wow, Judy what a great giveaway!

In the summer I am inspired by the sound of morning, the birds singing...get me right up and into my work studio.

Winter is a bit harder. Looking thru books and jewelry magazines helps to get the creative juices flowing.

  5. Honestly, other artists inspire me! I get so much inspiration from following others' blogs and seeing what color combinations or techniques they are using. I use other artists' creations as a springboard for my imagination, and before I know it, my mind is going a mile a minute with my own ideas. It does not have to be jewelry related...any artist inspires me. Thanks for the awesome giveaway...I could ALWAYS use more goodies from Artbeads...Or a goodie bag of beads :)

  9. Great question Judy!
I am inspired by EVERYTHING! That is probably why I don't get much sleep. There are too many things to be inspired by.
Recently I went to the movie Sherlock Holmes and couldn't wait to start sketching ideas for jewelry. But lately it is mostly the beads that are speaking to me.
    Thanks for the inspiration!
    Enjoy the day!

  10. The city inspires me or the countryside, wherever I am! I find that I bead cooler colors when I am in the city (sometimes monochromatic) and warmer when I am in the desert.

  11. Many things inspire me. Sometimes it comes from a photo in a magazine, or a pattern on a blouse, or a word I hear, or the view out my kitchen window, or my daughter laughing.

Color inspires me and texture and the feel of czech firepolish or the slick coolness of gemstones. Some beads and stones I hoard for years until they tell me they are ready to become part of a memorable piece.

  14. I am quite difficult person to be inspired.:-) maybe it is caused by my loneliness. generally my senses inspire me... what i see (in the nature - wilderness, forest, sky, all untouched by people, shapes, colors, then museums, galleries, arts) and what I hear (melody, color of music and human voices, sounds in the nature).

  21. I try to be inspired by anything around me--I once heard/read/saw somewhere some quote along the lines of, if you can't find inspiration in anything, you're not looking hard enough!
But, mostly I'm inspired by nature, people-watching, and other people's amazing creations!

  22. I usually find inspiration in music (especially when I'm stuck trying to decide on a design concept). The kind of inspiration that gets me out of bed in the morning is my daughter and my family. I like the little inspirations too; the ones that bite you like fleas. (hotpepper71 at bellsouth dot net)

  25. I wish I knew what inspires me because I'd do it more often!! SEriously, the need to create is what inspires me. I just feel a need to make something - anything - and that usually leads me to experimenting with different things. My creativity is what keeps me sane. :)
