Up and About ever so slowly

I am so glad to be upright and moving about, how ever so slowly and loudly, clunking on the wood floors with my crutches and ortho boot.  Thankfully the pain is subsiding and my mind is clearing, I am grateful...

Ever since I got home from the hospital my companion has been my big Ole lap cat Sam Adams. He likes to walk all over me and has to kneed on all my hurting spots, he found a comfy spot lying on my boot today.

Surgery went well, I did not need a skin graph as what was expected so that was a huge relief, my surgeon was able to join the skin together on my leg. Two lymph nodes were removed from my (R) groin, I am hoping pathology will be in by Thursday when I go for my post-op visit. In the meantime I am able to get into my studio put my legs and up and get some work done. My darling DH organized everything so nicely for me. I have very dear friends that are making us meals and keeping me company, like I said I am grateful...it is a huge blessing to have such wonderful family and friends. Many thanks again for all of your well wishes and friendship.

  1. Oh sweetie, I'm so glad the surgery went well and that you didn't have to have a skin graft. My mom went through this and it was so much worse--and I was hoping you would not have to go through the pain and discomfort she has endured.

Take care of yourself and don't try to do too much! I'll be praying for good reports at your next visit!!!!

  6. Miz Judy, your big ole Sam Adams seems just the antidote for coming home in a boot and crutches. I am happy you can get back into a modified studio arangement to get back to a semblance of normal. Kudos, to your hubby for making that happen!Wishing you the absolute best on those path results. You are well on the way to perfectly normal every day you. Hugs.

I am glad you didn't need a graft, we thought my hubby was going to need one in Oct when he severed his finger on a table saw but thankfully he didn't either.

Good for him and good for your husband, for knowing that there is nothing that will make you feel better than getting in your studio. Glad that you are being taken care of. And I am hoping the news from pathology will be good.
