Token Coin Bracelet

I just love using old objects and collectibles in my jewelry designs it makes them such a conversation piece. Here you have some vintage token coins used as connectors in this one of a kind bracelet. I love the agate beads in this and only wish I could find some more, I only had bought one strand from Mary my eccentric bead lady and now I am running out, oh well ...

I really should be starting my holiday decorating but I am saving it for the weekend when I can get in the mood. I feel like I am so behind in my decorating as all my neighborhood has decked out for a week or more. I do believe we are going to break down and buy an artificial tree. Back home in Massachusetts we could go anywhere within a few miles and cut down a fresh tree, here in Tennessee (at least where we live) it is not that easy. So, I am hoping to find a tree that I can put away without disassembling it each year. We have tons of great storage so it should work out ok, that would be one of the good benefits anyway. I can't wait to take out my ornaments, I love antique and vintage Christmas bulbs, they are my absolute favorites!!

Have you decorated your homes yet? What is your favorite item you take out every year?

  1. I'm in love with that bracelet as with all of your creations, Judy. You'll have to go buy more from the bead lady. We decorated inside yesterday. It looks nice but man does it take a long time.

  2. I also love using random odd objects in my jewelry pieces-They truly make the jewelry one of a kind!

We still haven't done much of the decorating yet-We are waiting until my sister comes home from college so it can be a whole family affair. Although we do have the tree up already with presents under it...It's just not decorated. Lol

  3. Love the connector you made for the hook! Antique Christmas ornaments are very sought after here.

  4. Judy, I love the bracelet! I have a bunch of tokens from the Indiana RR that I've been threatening to use. I think you've given me the impetus! The clasp is unique and beautifully accents your composition!

I have started decorating but don't have anything done. I've spent more time blogging about it than doing it! :-) I love that bracelet - beautiful.

you're not alone... we have not decorated yet either. I love those vintage glass ornaments...we have a bunch from my Grandmother. Unfortunately one of my sons broke a few when he was a toddler...I was just telling him about that today. Now that he's 9 he apologized. :-)
