Etched metal with a little hoot

 I have been busy etching metal today, mostly copper and a few brass pieces. For the most part all came out pretty good, there are usually a few that bite the dust....which is the norm for me. Here are a few of my favorites.

The Chimp and Me

Mail Chimp that is! Oh gads it has been ages since I put out a newsletter! Lots of my news is old news to all my blog friends, but spanking new to all the folks I have been neglecting on my mailing list. I know I have said it before but Mail Chimp is a super great FREE service and for all of you who have been procrastinating on creating a newsletter I am just here to give you that little kick in the rear to get you going. I am not going to say it is wicked easy, but I will say it will be worth the time and effort you put into it.

Laptop or I-phone

Laptop....please! Since I am on this extended stay in Connecticut taking care of my MIL, my dh left me one of his  laptops to use. For whatever reason it stopped working on Monday, I could not figure it out nor could he help me over the phone, so I had to wait until he returned to Ct. to fix it. I knew it was probably something stupid and it was (don't ask)...anyway I am back in the cyber world and looking forward to catching up on some blogs and shopping on Etsy. Although I can do a lot on my I-phone it is just harder to read blogs and shop.

I brought a work sack with me and have been keeping busy making some jewlery. I am doing mostly wire wrapping and more time consuming pieces, all in the comfort of my lap. Soon I will have some interesting pieces to share with you.

I am missing the Tenn. weather, it has been 80 degrees back home and around 35-40 here.

My Bead Soup has arrived!

I received my Bead Soup Party goodies in the mail yesterday. My bead partner is Emanda Johnson from Artemisia Studio, and a sampling of her wonderful creations can be found in her Etsy shop. I look forward to creating with my goodies....the wheels are turning!! Don't worry Emanda your package should come any day now, I can't wait to see what you think of it!

Can a girl ask for anything more?

Yesterday I attended a bead show in Nashville. I spent over an hour and way too much money at one booth alone called AD. Adornments Kathy had the best findings in the styles that I adore. I am sure you can pick them out in this picture.
I can't wait to get started with all of this loveliness!! I did not really get too many beads and I tried to get something I have not had before, like the pyrite and Tibetan beads. I fell for the gray pearls and modern dyed shell disks. After I spent ALL my money the DH and I went for an early dinner to Maggiano's. Can a girl ask for anything more?
