"The key to wisdom is knowing all the right questions"

This vintage key was once a brooch with a blue plastic bead in the center, its former life was not so attractive. I replaced the bead with an antique Victorian button and added some of Miss Ficklemedia's Verdigris Patina to the brass key, it added some life to the former wall flower. An array of beads, precious stones and vintage chain are used to make this eclectic adornment.
Just gorgeous, Judy!! I love it - so dainty and romantic. :-) And it eludes me how you attached the Victorian button. I've been admiring old buttons - all sorts, especially old ones like the Victorian buttons too.
ReplyDeleteyou have given it a whole new life! love it... now you will be addicted too...
ReplyDeleteBeautiful, Judy! I love how you transformed a not-so-attractive brooch into a gorgeous necklace. The patina on the key is pretty. I purchased Missfickelmedia's patina tutorial but have not had the time to do anything more than read it-twice. I'm itching to buy some of her patinas--maybe Santa will be generous this year.
ReplyDeleteThis turned out pretty cool! I love the way you repurpose old stuff and make it "new". The stone beads and the chain make it really pop.~~ :-)
ReplyDeleteThe patina is lovely and you do the best things with repurposed jewelry. Love the quote. It is so true.
ReplyDeleteI love what you did with the key. I'm anxious to try some of Shannon's patinas as well.
ReplyDeleteI am also wondering how you attached that button but must tell you this necklace is lovely!
