Special Order

I am trying to finish up some special orders this week. I especially love this fun colorful bracelet I made for one of my blog readers. This bracelet features some awesome handmade polymer clay beads from Aslan Crafts on Etsy, I just love these beads and their cool shape. Originally I wanted to pair them with a citrine color that is found in the floral design but It really did not look so great. So after rummaging through all my stash I improvised....

...I took these chunky silver plated metal beads and torched them! They turned a really great shade of "old gold" with hints of iridescence and shades of gray, so hard to explain but I am so pleased!

 ...and don't forget...
I am having a sweet little giveaway that ends tomorrow at 12 noon, so be sure to go and check it out! You can enter HERE.

Getting my groove on...

I am getting back into my groove a little more each day so here you have my take on Urban Chic...light, airy and very fun long dangle earrings. Polymer clay beads lend an organic touch as well as keeping the earrings lightweight. These earrings can be found in my Flap Your Wings etsy shop.

Listen Up...

This was such a fun bracelet to make! I think mainly because I do not make many things with fuchsia or pinks so it was like a little mood lifter so to speak. The fuchsia clay beads are from Aslan crafts , she makes awesome handmade polymer beads, the colors are so vibrant.
The focal point started from one half of an antique buckle, it has been hand stamped with "Talk Less....Say more" and oxidized to bring out the lettering. I hand forged a brass hook and a stamped brass washer are used for a clasp. A vintage filigree bead and a firepolished czech bead are added for a little bling. Measures: 7 3/4".

Tell me what you like about this bracelet the most or what you do not like....truly I can take it!
And don't forget about my blog giveaway be sure to sign up here!
Thanks!

Color....Color....Color

I just received these wonderful polymer clay beads from Aslan Crafts. These are so rich in color, some are matte and some are polished to a nice shine. Can't wait to start working with them.

Orange Burst

Wow...what a great colorful bracelet! I am loving the color combination if I do say so myself! I found these cool orange fiber beads at a bead show and just had to have them.

The orange beads are Tinalak fabric covered wood beads.
Tinalak is a colorfully designed cloth. It is handwoven and made from the bark of trees including banana fibers.Handcrafted by t'boli people (natives of the Philippines) in the Philippines.

I paired them with multi colored polymer beads hand crafted by fellow Etsian Hande Burge at Aslan Crafts. I hand forged a hook and eye clasp from brass. The bracelet is a generous 8 1/2" and is very lightweight. You can find this in my "Flap Your Wings" Etsy store.
