Sedona

This piece originally started out as a bracelet, instead a very earthy pendant was formed. I have been trying to create with other colors...that are not blues and turquoises. I always seem to gravitate towards those colors, but when you scroll down you will see I was not too successful.

Gorgeous fire agate, red river jasper, copper and some brass, originally I thought a copper ball chain would work well, but I felt it had to much copper going on, so I substituted a mellow antique brass chain. I am calling this piece Sedona. You can find this later today in my Etsy shop.

Sedona is on my bucket list of places I would like to visit...someday.

The lovely LeAnn of Summers Studio  created this great porcelain pendant that I used as a toggle for the focal for this bracelet. I paired it with sterling, smoky quartz and fancy jasper. The glaze on this toggle is wonderful, blues and greens, my favorite combination.

  1. I love the Sedona design. Did you cut the copper from a pipe?

  2. I know what you mean...I gravitate towards certain colors too. Sometimes it's hard to get away though. Love the bracelet!

  3. I lean towards the blues too. The red and orange in that piece are amazing. Such a lovely piece of art and, of course, I love the bracelet since its in the blues ;)

  4. Oh, Judy, that Sedona pendant is lovely. Nice earthy colours, fall even. And yes, you need to go to Sedona. It is beautiful, as is that whole part of Arizona. Maybe throw in the Grand Canyon as well. It will certainly make you see a whole new colour spectrum. Heck, you could even make a little deviation off I40 and come see me.

I love what you did with that porcelain piece and your very beautiful clasp. Can I steal that idea? :-)

  7. These are gorgeous, Judy! That bayberry bracelet caught my eye from your etsy mini up top and I thought it was so clever to hook the clasp into the donut LeAnn created. I just love your style!
