I have quite a collection of antique buttons that are just waiting to be created into something. This last lot that I purchased I bought at an auction in Indiana. No one was going to out bid me on these, I just had to have them at whatever cost! In this lot there were lots of fabulous large antique mother of pearl buttons, such a lovely craft back in the 1800's. I just wonder what type of clothing they were on and where they came from. Don't you think they are just wonderful?
I am a big button fan. When I used to sew all the time, I would close everything with a button instead of a zipper. I thought they added so much more character to a piece. What a good find!
